This online version of the CD ROM brings together a range of full-scale investigations, activities and interactive materials useful to those teaching science in mainstream and special school settings. Notes are provided explaining why the approaches used may be useful for students with special educational needs with other sections providing practical guidance and suggestions. The CD ROM has been produced with support from the DfES SEN small programmes fund with the Science Enhancement Programme (SEP) supporting its reproduction and distribution. It has been circulated to mainstream secondary schools and special schools.

In the online version, it has been necessary to compress some of the files to reduce their size and the download time. In occasional circumstances this may have led to a slight reduction in the quality of the pictorial content of pdf files. This only refers to the online version.
